Mark recently completed his M.A. in Philosophy of Religion and Ethics at Talbot School of Theology, La Mirada , California . He and Leanne have since joined our FC staff and are working in the Dallas area. Mark is on our Academic Initiative team helping professors integrate Christian thought with their research. He is also directing the work to add new apologetics and philosophy content to our LeaderU.com web site. Leanne is on our Human Resources team contributing to FC's efforts to recruit new staff and devising strategies to help professors attend FC conferences and events.

 

Mark joined Campus Crusade staff in 1993 to work with students at Kansas State University and later served as the Catalytic State Networker for Kansas . In 2000 he moved to the Los Angeles area to pursue his degree at Talbot. During that time he also worked as an apologetics researcher for the Josh McDowell Ministry.

 

Leanne joined CCC staff in 2003 when she joined CLM. Prior to this she was a mobilization director for the English Language Institute-China . From 1997-98 she taught English in China . She and Mark met in southern California in 2001 and were married in March of 2003.

 

The Hansards have roots in the Texas/Oklahoma area so moving back means being closer to their families. When they have some spare time Mark likes to watch science fiction movies and keep up with the news. Leanne likes to run 5Ks and play softball.

Mark: B.A., English Literature, University of Missouri, Columbia, 1992; M.A., Philosophy of Religion and Ethics, Talbot School of Theology, 2003.

Leanne: B.S., Elementary Education, Northeastern State University (Oklahoma), 1996.

     

Favorite book

 

Mark: Warranted Christian Belief by Alvin Plantinga.

Leanne: Hudson Taylor’s Spiritual Secret by Dr. & Mrs. Howard Taylor.

     

Claim to fame

 

Mark: Took a year off his bachelor’s degree to do missions work in Budapest, Hungary. year the Berlin wall came down and Hungary became a democracy.

Leanne: Ran the San Diego Marathon in 2002.
