Howie and Nance have been on the staff of FC since 2000. They give direction to the FC ministry at the University of Florida in Gainsville. As Regional Representatives they engage in personal evangelism, disciple and mentor professors and resource them in reaching their campuses and disciplines for Christ.
Howie began his career with Campus Crusade in 1974 on the campuses of Metro-Manila in the Philippines . He served as the Acting National Coordinator of Sri Lanka Campus Crusade for Christ from 1979-1981. For the next eighteen years he was the director of the Medical Ministry of Philippine Campus Crusade for Christ. He attended the International School of Theology—Asia where he received a Master of Divinity degree in Exposition and Preaching.
Nance joined Campus Crusade upon graduation in 1972, becoming one of Singapore Campus Crusade for Christ's first national campus staff. She began the ministry at the University of Singapore , serving as a senior staff member for five years. She also served as a trainer of new national staff in the Great Commission Training Center in the Philippines . Nance received a Master of Arts degree in Christian Leadership from the International School of Theology—Asia .
They married in Singapore in 1977 and have three children. They are a family of bookworms, though in recent years their kids have gotten them "hooked" on lifting weights and a regular exercise regimen. Howie and Nance cannot believe that they have finally come to enjoy yard work.
