Serving: Georgia Institute of Technology, Georgia State University and Kennesaw State University

Glen and Barbara joined the staff of FC in 1999 and seek to resource and disciple university faculty in the Georgia area. They work closely with the Christian Faculty/Staff Forum at Georgia Tech, and in 2003, they initiated a Christian Faculty/Staff Forum at Georgia State University . In addition, they serve as FC’s South and East Africa liaison to professors in universities there.

They both came on CCC staff with the ministry of Athletes in Action. Glen joined the AIA Track Team in 1974 and Barbara worked in the national AIA office until their marriage in 1978. A few years later, they left the USA to start AIA in South Africa . While in South Africa , half of their time was spent working with the Soweto community ministry. By December 1996, they had worked themselves out of a job and left the AIA ministry in the hands of South Africans.

All four of their children were born in South Africa . Their two oldest children attend college and their two younger daughters are still at home. All the children are involved in sports, and Glen enjoys being a referee at youth soccer matches.

Glen: B.S., Statistics, University of Wyoming, 1973; M.A., Biblical Studies, International School of Theology, Campus Crusade for Christ, 1989.

Barbara: B.Ed., Early Childhood Education, University of West Georgia, 1974.

     

Favorite book

 

Glen: Slaves, Women and Homosexuals by William Webb.

Barbara: The Purpose Driven Life by Rick Warren.

     

Claim to fame

 

Glen: Has run the Comrades Marathon (55 miles) in South Africa, the Western States100 mile race and the Vermont 100 mile race.

Barbara: Enjoys basketball and was awarded the Best Free Throw Shooter every year in high school. She also sailed around the Cape of Good Hope.
