Serving: University of Central Florida

Since 2003, Chris and Sharon have been reaching out to faculty at the University of Central Florida , developing a faculty fellowship group to encourage them to grow in their relationship with Christ and minister to students and colleagues. In addition to his work with FC, Chris is working on a Master of Arts in Biblical Studies degree at Reformed Theological Seminary in Orlando .

Prior to working with FC, Chris spent six years working with college students in the Campus Ministry of CCC and another eight years recruiting schoolteachers and other vocational missionaries to go abroad. Sharon has served CCC since 1995, beginning as Administrative Assistant to the Director of Computer Services, then two years for the Director of Lake Hart Development, and finally for the CCC Vice President of Africa, the Middle East and Central Asia.

Chris and Sharon and their preschool son live in Orlando, Florida. Chris' hobbies include gardening, sightseeing, antique cars, and astronomy. In her spare time, Sharon enjoys stamping, calligraphy, and cooking.

     

Education

 

Chris: B.S., Education with emphasis in Chemistry and Physics, Emporia State University, Kansas, 1987; Theological studies at Reformed Theological Seminary (currently studying).

Sharon: B.A., Christian Education, Wheaton College, 1983.

     

Favorite book

 

Chris: Introduction to the New Testament by Tenney.

Sharon: Daktar by Viggo Olsen and Jeanette Lockerbie.

     

Claim to fame

 

Chris: Won "Mr. Kansas" in his weight class, body building physique championship 1984 after serving in the Marines.

Sharon: Has served as a missionary in Bogota, Colombia ('82) as well as in Germany ('83-'85) with O.C. International.
