Steve and Sarah joined FC staff in 1998 and serve professors at universities in the North Texas area. Steve leads a discipleship group with UNT professors, encouraging and equipping them in their efforts to reach their campuses and disciplines for Christ. He also helps facilitate a bimonthly large group meeting for Christian faculty and administrators connecting them with other believers in the academy.
Steve helped FC create the Conversations CD, an innovative multimedia CD designed as a tool for professors to use for personal outreach to students, and Steve directs the on-going Conversations Project. He is FC’s liaison to Latin America , which involves traveling to Latin countries to equip the local Campus Crusade staff in how to incorporate faculty into their existing campus ministries.
Sarah works as a sending associate for the Human Resource Department of the National Campus Ministry. She evaluates potential new staff from across the nation, connecting regional Campus Ministry offices with headquarters in Orlando in determining whether the applicant is a good fit for CCC ministry. Because of her many years of experience, she is involved in training less experienced evaluators, acting both as a coach as well as a lecturer at national training conferences.
Before joining FC, they worked with students at the University of North Texas , North Dakota State , Moorhead State , and the University of Notre Dame. Sarah has also worked with CCC’s high school ministry in Oklahoma City .
They have three children: one in high school, one in college (Texas A&M) and one in grad school (UTMB-Galveston). All three love backpacking and rock climbing.
